Mrs. Shipe's Homepage
Hi! My name is Mrs. Chelsea Shipe and I teach first grade at Fox Township Elementary School. This year is my third year with the Saint Marys Area School District and my fourth year teaching. I have previously taught third grade here at Fox, at Saint Boniface Catholic School where I taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade math, as well as a multi-age 4th and 5th grade class. I have also worked as a Group Supervisor at A Step Ahead Child Center in St. Marys where I was the lead teacher for the 3 and 4 year old preschool class.
I attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where I graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2015 with a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood and Special Education. I live in Saint Marys with my husband, Kody, and our dog, Duke. I enjoy shopping, baking, sunshine, and spending time with my family and friends. I am so excited to be back at SMASD, as I was fortunate enough to be a student in the district for 13 years. I am overwhelmingly thrilled to be able to give back to the district that taught me so much, but this time, as a teacher!
I feel so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful group of people at Fox Township and I am looking forward to continuing to make this my best year yet!
